In this week long project , we have designed a mobile application that alerts the users and gives an infovisualization about the spread of epidemics in their area or any other city in a geographical map view.

Problem :
In the recent past an outbreak of swine flu claimed many lives in India and abroad. One of the reasons is the lack of awareness of its spread. In another case a common conjuctivitis ( eye infection ) spreads rapidly. How can we mitigate the spread of these diseases ? Can we find a solution to track the spread and alert people to take precautionary measures?
